Early in my teenage years I received a 35mm camera for Christmas (a Canon AE-1 Program). From those

humble beginnings my future as a professional photographer was set in motion, although I didn't realize it

at the time.

I went on to work in the restaurant business while going to college and since I had a camera, the Chef often

asked me to take photos for him of his food creations. I quickly came to the realization that I enjoyed taking

the photos more than cooking the food so I enrolled in school to get a photography degree.

Since graduating in 1995, I have been a freelance photographer utilizing 35mm, 2 1/4, and 4x5 formats.

I've done photography for companies such as, Wyeth Pharmaceutical, AT&T, Zany Brainy, and Synthes.

I am a reserve member of U.S. Navy Expeditionary Combat Camera and have traveled around the

world on exercises and humanitarian missions. I've spent time deployed documenting Navy operations

and everyday life with still and video equipment. My work has been in major magazines, books and newspapers

around the world. Most recently, video I created was used in the production, "U.S. Navy - Pirate Hunters"

which was telecast on the Spike TV network.

And yes, I still own, and sometimes use my original Canon.
